We are pleased to announce that we have introduced a disability section to the Club.

Stirling City F.C disability section, nicknamed ‘All Stars’ was established in 2008 and is a football club for adults with disabilities.

The project started in the summer of 2007 when Sandy White noticed a lack of opportunities for adults with disabilities to participate in recreational football. After a recruitment drive a couple of lads started having a kick about up at the kings park in Stirling. with support from Lynne Glen (sportcentral) a team was entered into the Scottish Disability Sport 7-a-side tournament in Grangemouth Oct 2007 under the name of the Kings Park Brigade. They performed well and wanted to continue to train and compete. Over the winter financial support from Forth Valley Disability Sport funded training at the scout hall in Stirling. Slowly the numbers grew and enough interest was there to form a club.

Sandy was advised to speak with members of Stirling City F.C regarding an affiliation as they were looking to expand and it would help the club get up and running which could only be good for the Club.

We train on Monday nights from 6pm - 7.30pm at the Kings Park, Stirling.

New Players and Coaches always welcome!

The team have a nickname of the ‘All Stars’.

If you would like to learn more about this exciting development please contact Sandy.

SCOTTISH DISABILITY SPORT 5-A-SIDE TOURNAMENT.

The ‘All Stars’ scrapped together two teams for the tournament after a couple of late call offs.

The A team were entered in Band C and consisted of Cheesy, Kyle, Ricky, John and Steven. They really gelled and played some good football topping there mini league with a hard fought 2-0 win and a slick 6-0 win. This meant they qualified for the final against a young Angus side. After being 2-0 and 3-2 up the All Stars were pegged back in the last minute and the game went to penalties. Luck was against them as they went down 3-2 on pens. A silver medal for the guys and some great excitment and good experience!

The B team were entered into Band D and consisted of Gordon, Colin, Eddie, Alisdair and Dave. This team suffered from late call offs and was thrown together. No recognised keeper meant each player took a turn in goal for the 4 games. Although the results werent there the performances improved with each game with the final game finishing with a 4-4 draw. The hard work and spirited performances were highly commendable! Roll on the next tournament!!!

S.F.A. REGIONAL FINALS 2008.

The 16’s section travelled to Holland to participate in a tournament at v.v. Schoten over the Easter weekend. 15 teams from around the world played in leagues on Saturday - their final positions determined which group finals they took part in. S.C.F.C. finished 2nd in their group, never losing a match and progressed to the group ‘A’ finals on Sunday. A heavy snowfall almost cancelled games on Sunday but the organisers pressed ahead with matches as the sun started to shine. City ended up 3rd in the league at the end of all games and collected a cup to add to the runners up trophy from Loch Lomond.
